Crete 6: Thalori

It is not my habit to write about the hotels we stay at but the Thalori Traditional Ecosystem Village is unique.  As I understand it, the owner bought about half the centuries-old homes in a mostly empty mountain village and turned each one into quarters for travelers.

All the food served is grown at their own farm.  I asked for yogurt for breakfast and the next day was provided with yogurt made from either goat or sheep milk, I forget which.  Fresh and delicious in any case.  Interesting place.
