Egypt 11: Karnak
Karnak Temple near Luxor is the largest ancient religious compound in the world (if you don't look too closely at Angkor Wat). Apparently the first things each new pharoah did was start work on their tomb, their mortuary temple, and an addition to Karnak. It was the center for the triad of Theban gods: Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. (Egyptian gods tended to come in three-packs.)
